Position: Software Research Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Education Qualification: PhD
(Specialized in Computer Science / Software Engineering /Electronics & Communication / Embedded Engineering)
Work Experience: Up to 5 years
What will be your deliverable?
 Scouting, developing and transferring software and systems technologies and products for BOSCH in the area of internet of things and services. Research will focus on developing a wide variety of new products and applications by enabling the interaction of complex distributed embedded systems and the IT infrastructure locally or in the cloud by using or developing cutting edge technologies.
 Integrate with top-tier universities in India (e.g. IISC, IITs etc.) and corporate partners on the assignments.
 Work with various business units of BOSCH to elicit application- and domain-specific requirements as well as propose technical solutions to address the forthcoming issues.
Required Knowledge and Skills :
 In-depth Knowledge on software architecture concepts including service oriented architecture (SOA)
 Experience with Web Services Technologies (SOAP and REST)
 Extensive knowledge on XML, SOAP, WSDL, JSON, BPEL, and JAX-RS Standards
 Conceptual knowledge on UPnP, OSGi, Jini, DPWS, etc
 Command over programming languages: C and C++ or Java
 Working experience on engineering high-quality software for embedded devices
 Working Knowledge on Protocols (Wired as well as Wireless) such as Zigbee, Bluetooth, Z-Wave, KNX, G.hn, Powerline, etc.
 Conceptual Knowledge of embedded web server, embedded databases, and Cloud Computing
Optional skills:
 Working experience in one of the following domains: Home Automation, Energy Management, Security systems, and Healthcare systems.
 Working knowledge on Open Source concepts
