Senior Developer .NET

Work Location- Gurgaon

Experience – 5-7 Years

Qualification- B.E/B.Tech /MCA

Purpose
To document and develop applications to the standard and quality expected of a major software house.

Key Duties

 Adhere to prescribed SSP development processes, procedures and standards
 To adequately test developed software to demonstrate that programs meet all functional and technical requirements and to ensure the software is of a high quality
 To ensure that all relevant program, project and test documentation is completed to the required standards
 To take all reasonable steps to complete development assignments within realistic deadlines as requested
 To report progress of assignments
 To analyse and evaluate enquiry/problem reports and apply solutions
 Keep the Team Manager informed of current events affecting our business concerns and in particular to produce regular status statements in accordance with the prescribed format
 To bring to the notice of the Team Manager any innovations, suggestions or projects which would improve efficiency, professionalism or profitability
 Produce quality software and accurate estimates within realistic timescales.

Principal Objectives

 QI (Quality Indicator) results will be published after every release and must be within set tolerances
 Actuals V Estimates must be measured and reported for all tasks and variances must be within set tolerances.

Qualifications

Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent (minimum of 5 including maths and English)

Experience

 Practical experience of coding and web development using one or more of the following languages/tools – ASP.NET, C#, (X)HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML (XSD, XSL), HTTP, Visual Studio 2005/2008
 A demonstrable understanding of applying web accessibility standards and cross-browser development
 A demonstrable understanding of Microsoft .Net Framework Version 2.0 / 3.5
 A good working knowledge of an enterprise RDMS, SQL and associated programming language - SQL Server 2005 and T-SQL particularly advantageous
 Demonstrable experience of the design, implementation and maintenance of XML Web Services
 Some knowledge of Insurer-specific business processes would be advantageous
 An understanding of IIS 6/7 would also be advantageous
 A good understanding of fundamental computing concepts
 Ability to work within agreed time estimates
 Demonstrate a good knowledge of at least one pertinent programming language appropriate for SSP’s needs
 Good knowledge and attitude to development standards and the software development lifecycle.
